Snap Happy!

Ethan is doing well at home! He is such a little peanut...he is very different from Lucie because he sleeps all the time! Lucie was very alert as a newborn, which is evidenced by her newborn pictures. Ethan has his first doctor appt on Monday, so I am anxious to see how much he has gained/lost. He is also different at nursing than Lucie. Lucie was quite voracious and Ethan is so sleepy all the time that he seems to snack more. I hope he is getting what he needs. That one of the biggest hurdles of breastfeeding...not knowing how much they are taking in. Lucie is a great big sister! She loves to hold him and kiss him. She got him a present to take to the hospital--a rattle and a stuffed bunny. She likes to tuck the bunny into Ethan's seat when he is sleeping sometimes. Since he sleeps so much, she hasn't had a lot of the spotlight taken off of her. However, there have been a few times when it seems to much to share Mommy or Daddy with Ethan and she becomes emotional or does something to get our attention. Overall, I am really proud of her. Her routine is a bit off because John is home and that is out of her norm. Hopefully it will not take us too long to transition smoothly. Stacy's parents are coming up next week, which Lucie is very excited about. Today the doorbell rang and Lucie ran to the door saying, "Grandma Papa here!" Sadly, it was just one of John's friends coming over to watch football :) I wanted to add a couple more pictures for you to enjoy of Ethan! It's hard to get a family of four photo because we don't really have anyone around to take it. Hopefully we will get it sometime soon!

Ethan Has Arrived!

Ethan John Epema was born on September 30, 2008 at 11:29 am. He weighed 8 lbs 7oz and was 21 inches long. Both Ethan and Stacy are doing great. We thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers as we celebrate a new member of our family.
